I have been trying to keep up with my blog but I honestly have been a bit busy. There are soooo many photos to share from weddings, summer portraits and work from Sait Alumni Magazine. Meredith and Dan will lead the photos from their Banff wedding. In between the main events, the rain poured but you would never know because the timing was perfect.

I was fortunate to photograph the most brilliantly colorful wedding of my career. Kam and Raj started their celebrations on the Monday and continued everyday until Sunday. The saris were incredible and the traditions were followed out with a modern twist. This was also my first experience working with some great people of Lavish Events and Design. Mary and Deb know how to create a funky atmosphere for the different locations of the Sikh celebration.

I love wedding !I love seeing the bride for the first time all dolled up and ready to walk down the isle. I love when the bride and groom can't stop staring at each other. I love the fancy clothes, curls, colors, excitement, giggles, kisses and love in the air.

June 10'

June has been a mixture of fun shoots with Sait Alumni Magazine and with kids and babies galore. The theme is portraits and I love capturing personalities of those I photography where they are in diapers or getting their hands dirty in the welding shop. Lets see what else the rest of June brings.

I have know Richelle Kanngiesser for over twenty five years and I was so excited to do her wedding to Marc. The wedding was filled with people I grew up with and that always makes me feel young and vibrant. The day was chilly with snow and rain the entire day but the bride and groom enjoyed the scenery of Canmore more than worrying about the weather. Silvertip Golf Course was the backdrop. The light was lovely. Richelle and Marc were beautiful and it was a perfect day.

In addition to my photography, I have been busy making digital books and canvases through Heritage Makers (www.jchuphotobooks.com). The O'Kane photo shoot was done last month for the intentions on making large canvases of each of the kids. (I will post the pictures of the series in a future blog). As I am reading this blog, I just realized that I am not a blog person. I find it hard to talk about the photographs because my entire purpose in photography is to create images that speak for themselves. Sounds cliche. So I will talk about Heritage Makers. Go to www.jchuphotobook.com or join my facebook page to see what kind of interesting and fun things you can do with your photographs.

Doug and Kristie are getting married in June. What kind of engagement portraits would hockey loving, Olympic watching, outdoorsy Calgarians want? Skating on a beautiful frosty winter day of course. The day was perfect. The frosty downtown background looked fabulous with the horror frosted trees surrounding Olympic Plaza. So much fun!

Joe and Krista were married right before Christmas of last year. It was a beautiful winter day, chilly for those in dresses but the girls were able to keep warm from the laughs and good times they all had together. This was my first time shooting at the Aero Space Museum and it was a cool place for a reception but tricky for the flash.
All in all, the Chengs and Edels had a great night.
