Winter News

December 2012
The year of 2012 has been amazing for jchu photography. You guys have kept me very busy and I am so thankful for being able to share with all of you, my love for photography. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.  I have been busily teaching, shooting and editing all year around working with great companies, welcoming eager enthusiasts, meeting new families and reuniting with familiar faces. I was planning on taking a few weeks off and was really looking forward to December, but as many of you that know me personally, I am getting a different type of time off. I broke my ankle last week from falling down the stairs in my house. ( I am much more graceful behind a camera). The broken ankle required surgery and a few pieces of hardware with a long recovery ahead. As soon as the orthopedic surgeon gives me the thumbs up, I will be happily off shooting all the things I love. So as I send out these warm holiday greetings from my wheelchair, I wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year. See you in 2013 !

Sometimes when life doesn't go your way and you want to feel really good about yourself, try to see yourself from a different perspective. From someone's eyes.There is nothing better for your soul than to see beautiful pictures of yourself and to feel fabulous in your own skin. I wish that others would follow in Amanda's footsteps and take that scary step to be the center of attention. Be beautiful, be brave, be happy, smile and feel gorgeous.

Happy Summer

I can't believe that my last post was in May. Many hours are spent at this computer editing the most beautiful families, weddings, babies and kids. Many Starbucks are enjoyed in this very spot while listening to music. So here is the mish mash of many incredible moments.

Where are the photos?

This blog has seem to turn into the most boring photographer's blog ever. Where are the pictures and the stories behind the photos? The haven't appeared for a while ... the blog became a meeting place for photography classes and updated changes to the times and location. So in addition to the updates photography class schedules, you will actually see some recent photographs from different shoots.
I just photographed my brother-in-law Dan/Edward ( I call him Dan and his wife's side calls him Eddie) in Mexico for his wedding last month. I have know Dan since he was eight years old so I am not really ready to call him Edward. Cancun was an incredible back drop for photographs. I am still editing the many pictures from the wedding day ... but until then, here are some shots of the day before.
